Sustainable Cities

As urban populations grow, sustainability has become a central challenge. Cities consume vast resources and generate enormous waste, yet they also offer opportunities for innovation. Architects and planners now design “smart cities” that combine green energy, efficient transport, and digital technology to reduce pollution and improve quality of life.
However, sustainability is not only environmental but also social. A truly sustainable city must ensure affordable housing, accessible services, and public spaces where communities can thrive. Technology can help, but it cannot replace justice or inclusion. The greenest city means little if it excludes its people.
