🔹 LEVEL B2 – CHỦ ĐIỂM 10: COMPARATIVES & SUPERLATIVES (SO SÁNH HƠN & SO SÁNH NHẤT – NÂNG CAO)

Cấu trúc so sánh hơn (comparatives) và so sánh nhất (superlatives) giúp ta so sánh người, vật, hoặc tình huống. Ở cấp độ B2, bạn sẽ học các mẫu nâng cao, dạng kép, và các cấu trúc đặc biệt như the more..., the more..., as...as, less / least, v.v.

1️⃣ SO SÁNH HƠN – COMPARATIVES

Công thức cơ bản:

Loại tính từ	Cấu trúc	Ví dụ
Ngắn (1 âm tiết)	adj + -er + than	My car is faster than yours.
Dài (≥ 2 âm tiết)	more + adj + than	This dress is more beautiful than that one.
Bất quy tắc	good → better, bad → worse, far → farther/further	She is better than me at math.

💡 Chú ý quy tắc chính tả khi thêm -er:

• Nếu tính từ kết thúc bằng e → thêm r: large → larger.
• Kết thúc bằng phụ âm + y → đổi y → ier: happy → happier.
• Ngắn (1 âm tiết, kết thúc phụ âm – nguyên âm – phụ âm) → gấp đôi phụ âm: big → bigger.

2️⃣ SO SÁNH NHẤT – SUPERLATIVES

Công thức cơ bản:

Loại tính từ	Cấu trúc	Ví dụ
Ngắn	the + adj + est	Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world.
Dài	the most + adj	This is the most interesting book I’ve read.
Bất quy tắc	good → best, bad → worst, far → farthest/furthest	He’s the best player in the team.

💡 Quy tắc chính tả tương tự so sánh hơn: happy → the happiest, big → the biggest, nice → the nicest.

3️⃣ SO SÁNH BẰNG – EQUALITY

Cấu trúc	Nghĩa	Ví dụ
as + adj + as	bằng nhau	She is as tall as her brother.
not as/so + adj + as	không bằng	This exam isn’t as difficult as the last one.

4️⃣ CÁC DẠNG SO SÁNH ĐẶC BIỆT (B2+)

❶ So sánh kép – Double Comparatives

Cấu trúc: The + comparative, the + comparative
→ Dùng để diễn tả mối quan hệ “càng ... càng ...”

• The more you study, the better your English becomes.
• The less you worry, the happier you’ll be.

❷ So sánh tiến triển – Repeated Comparatives

Cấu trúc: comparative + and + comparative

• It’s getting colder and colder these days.
• He’s becoming more and more confident.

❸ So sánh nhấn mạnh (Modifiers)

Trạng từ bổ nghĩa	Ví dụ
much / far / a lot	This book is much better than the other one.
a little / slightly	She’s a little taller than me.
by far / easily	He’s by far the most talented singer here.

5️⃣ SO SÁNH VỚI “LESS” VÀ “LEAST”

less + adj + than → ít ... hơn the least + adj → ít ... nhất

• This car is less expensive than that one.
• He’s the least talkative person I know.

6️⃣ SO SÁNH DÙNG DANH TỪ & TRẠNG TỪ

7️⃣ CÁC DẠNG SO SÁNH KHÁC

no + comparative + than	This solution is no better than the previous one.
half / twice / three times + as + adj + as	This phone is twice as expensive as that one.

💡 MẸO GHI NHỚ NHANH

• ✅ Tính từ ngắn → -er / -est; tính từ dài → more / most.
• ✅ Dùng less / least khi muốn diễn tả “ít hơn / ít nhất”.
• ✅ The + comparative, the + comparative → càng... càng...
• ✅ as ... as → bằng; not as ... as → không bằng.
• ✅ Một số tính từ có dạng bất quy tắc: good → better → best, bad → worse → worst.
• ✅ Có thể nhấn mạnh bằng much / far / a bit / slightly / by far.
