1️⃣ Khái niệm

Countable nouns (danh từ đếm được): là những danh từ có thể đếm được bằng số, có dạng số ít (singular) và số nhiều (plural).
👉 Dùng được với a / an, many, few, several, a number of...

Uncountable nouns (danh từ không đếm được): là những danh từ không thể đếm trực tiếp bằng số, không có dạng số nhiều và thường chỉ chất, khái niệm, hay vật liệu.
👉 Dùng với much, little, a bit of, a piece of, some, any...

2️⃣ Ví dụ phân biệt

Countable Nouns (Đếm được)	Uncountable Nouns (Không đếm được)
apple, banana, orange	water, juice, milk
chair, table, car	rice, sugar, bread
book, pencil, idea	money, advice, information

3️⃣ Từ thường dùng với từng loại danh từ

4️⃣ Cách “đếm” danh từ không đếm được (Unit Words)

Để đếm danh từ không đếm được, ta thêm từ đơn vị (unit word) phía trước.

Uncountable Noun	Unit Word (Từ đơn vị)	Ví dụ
water	a bottle / a glass	a bottle of water
bread	a piece / a loaf	two pieces of bread
sugar	a spoon / a bag	a bag of sugar
milk	a cup / a carton	a cup of milk

💡 Ghi nhớ nhanh

Countable nouns có thể dùng ở số nhiều: apples, cars, books...
Uncountable nouns luôn coi là số ít và không có “s”: milk, money, advice...
Không nói “an advice” mà nói “a piece of advice”.
