🔹 LEVEL B2 – CHỦ ĐIỂM 30: ACADEMIC LINKING DEVICES (TỪ NỐI HỌC THUẬT TRONG VIẾT)

Trong bài viết học thuật (essay, report, hoặc formal writing), linking devices – hay còn gọi là từ nối / cụm từ nối – giúp câu văn mạch lạc, liên kết ý rõ ràng, và thể hiện tư duy logic. 👉 Ở trình độ B2–C1, người học cần nắm vững Academic Linking Devices để viết bài có tính chuyên nghiệp và tự nhiên hơn.

1️⃣ KHÁI NIỆM & VAI TRÒ

• Linking devices là những từ / cụm từ dùng để nối các câu, các ý, hoặc các đoạn văn lại với nhau.
• Chúng giúp bài viết có logic, sự mạch lạc (coherence) và liên kết (cohesion).
• Không nên lạm dụng – chỉ nên dùng khi cần nhấn mạnh mối quan hệ giữa các ý.

Ví dụ:

I didn’t go out. Instead, I stayed home and studied.
He worked very hard. Consequently, he passed the exam.

2️⃣ NHÓM TỪ NỐI THEO CHỨC NĂNG

7️⃣ GHI NHỚ NHANH

• ✅ Dùng từ nối phù hợp với chức năng logic (nguyên nhân, tương phản, ví dụ...).
• ✅ Trong viết học thuật, ưu tiên: Moreover, Consequently, Nevertheless, In contrast, Therefore.
• ⚠️ Không bắt đầu mọi câu bằng “And”, “But” trong writing formal.
• ⚠️ Tránh lặp lại cùng một từ nối quá nhiều lần (thay đổi linh hoạt).
