🔹 LEVEL B2 – CHỦ ĐIỂM 27: ADVANCED QUANTIFIERS (LƯỢNG TỪ NÂNG CAO)

Quantifiers (lượng từ) là những từ hoặc cụm từ được dùng để chỉ số lượng hoặc mức độ của danh từ. Ở trình độ B2–C1, người học cần nắm rõ các lượng từ nâng cao để diễn đạt chính xác hơn — đặc biệt trong writing và speaking formal.

1️⃣ PHÂN LOẠI CƠ BẢN

a couple of	Countable	một vài, khoảng 2	I saw him a couple of days ago.
a variety of	Countable	nhiều loại khác nhau	They sell a variety of fruits.
a (large/small) quantity of	Uncountable	số lượng lớn/nhỏ	We use a large quantity of paper every day.
an amount of	Uncountable	một lượng (nhiều/ít)	He lost a small amount of money.
no amount of	Uncountable	dù bao nhiêu cũng không	No amount of money can buy happiness.
all of / most of / some of / none of	Cả hai	toàn bộ, hầu hết, một số, không cái nào	Most of my friends live abroad. None of them were late.
each / every	Countable (singular)	mỗi / mọi	Each student has a book. Every child loves games.
either / neither	Countable (singular, 2 đối tượng)	một trong hai / không cái nào	You can choose either option. Neither answer is correct.

3️⃣ SO SÁNH NGHĨA GẦN GIỐNG

Lượng từ	Khác biệt ý nghĩa	Ví dụ
few / a few	few = hầu như không có; a few = có một chút, đủ dùng.	Few people understood. (= gần như không ai hiểu) A few people helped me. (= có vài người giúp)
little / a little	little = rất ít, không đủ; a little = một chút, đủ dùng.	We have little time left. (= gần như không còn thời gian) We have a little time left. (= còn chút ít thời gian)
much / many / a lot of	much dùng cho danh từ không đếm được (formal), many cho đếm được, a lot of dùng cho cả hai (informal).	She has much experience. (formal) He has many friends. They have a lot of money. (neutral)
most / almost all	Most đi với danh từ, almost all = nearly 100% (mạnh hơn).	Most students passed the exam. Almost all of them got good marks.

4️⃣ LƯỢNG TỪ ĐI KÈM GIỚI TỪ

at least / at most	ít nhất / nhiều nhất	You need at least 70% to pass.
no fewer than / no less than	ít nhất, không dưới (nhấn mạnh)	The project requires no fewer than ten engineers.

• ⚠️ few/little → nghĩa tiêu cực (ít đến mức không đủ)
• ⚠️ a few/a little → nghĩa tích cực (vẫn đủ dùng)
