Sample Answer (323 words):

Freedom is often described as the absence of constraint — the ability to act without interference. Yet the deepest kind of freedom is not political but psychological: liberation from fear, ignorance, and attachment.

External freedom depends on law and society, but internal freedom depends on awareness. A person may live in a democracy yet remain enslaved by anxiety, ambition, or habit. Likewise, one may live under restriction yet possess an inner peace that no regime can destroy. True freedom, therefore, is not granted — it is cultivated.

Modern life confuses choice with freedom. The ability to choose endlessly does not make us free if our desires are dictated by others. The mind that constantly seeks approval or pleasure is still a prisoner. Freedom lies not in doing what we want, but in understanding why we want it.

In conclusion, freedom is not the right to act without limits, but the wisdom to choose within them. The greatest revolution occurs not in society, but in consciousness. When the mind is free, no prison can confine it.
